#11 Panthers Shut Out Camels 9-0

The 11th-ranked Middlebury men's tennis team picked up its 10th win of the season, shutting out Connecticut College 9-0 on the road.
 
HIGHLIGHTS
  • The Panthers jumped out to a 3-0 lead with a sweep in the doubles portion of the match. Joe Mairs and Julian Wu won 8-2 at #2, followed by an 8-3 victory in the second spot from duo Hugh Hentschel and Thehan Wijemanne and an 8-5 from Aidan Harris and Noah Laber at #1.
  • Laber continued his strong day, pushing the advantage to 4-0 with a straight-set win (6-1, 6-3) at the top of the lineup.
  • Nicky Kondamuri clinched the match at #6, dropping just one game en route to a 6-1, 6-0 triumph.
  • Other victories came from Robby Ward at #2 (6-1, 6-2), Lewis at #3 (6-4, 6-0), Nathan Jackson in the fifth spot (6-3, 6-3) and Hentschel at #4 (6-4, 6-3).
NOTES
  • Jackson's win was his sixth straight in singles action, as he improves to 10-3 overall.
  • The programs played for the 14th time, with Middlebury remaining unbeaten against the Camels.
The Panthers return to Connecticut next weekend, taking on Trinity on Saturday and Wesleyan on Sunday.
