  • Wesleyan clinched the match with tightly-contested straight-set wins at #6 (6-2, 6-4) and the top slot (6-4, 7-5).
  • Lulu Wu dropped the opening set at #3 but rebounded to level the contest with a 6-3 decision in the second. Her opponent won six of the eight games in the decisive third set (6-1, 3-6, 6-2) for a 6-0 Wesleyan advantage.
  • The last three matches left on the courts all were decided in a third-set superbreaker. The Panthers got on the scoreboard with a victory from Gena Huang in the fourth spot. Huang dropped the opening set 6-2 but fought back in set two (7-6 (1) and a close superbreaker (10-7) for a 2-6, 7-6 (1), 1-0 (7) triumph.
