The third-ranked Middlebury men's tennis team extended its unbeaten streak in Division III play to seven on Thursday night, topping Pomona-Pitzer 8-1. The Panthers are 9-1 overall, with its lone loss coming to Division II Azusa Pacific earlier this week.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Middlebury raced out to a 3-0 advantage, sweeping doubles action.
- Neel Epstein and Robby Ward claimed an 8-2 win at #1, followed by 8-6 victories in the second and third slots by tandem Aidan Harris and Noah Laber, and duo Joe Mairs and Julian Wu, respectively.Â
- The Panthers secured the match with four-consecutive straight-set victories. Harris got things going at #4 (6-1, 6-1), followed by #2 Wu (6-0, 6-0), #3 Ward (6-2, 6-0) and #5 Epstein (6-4, 6-1).
- The competitions at both ends of the lineup came down to superbreakers. The Sagehens claimed the thriller at #6, before Laber outlasted his opponent with a pair of tiebreakers and a superbreaker in the top spot ((7-6(0), 6-7(4), 10-3)).
NOTES
- Epstein's singles win was his sixth-straight, while Ward is 6-0 in Division III play.
- Harris and Laber improve to 6-0 in doubles action. Â
