The fourth-ranked Middlebury women's tennis team swept all three doubles matches on its way to a 7-2 victory over California Institute of Technology (CalTech) on Wednesday evening.
 
HIGHLIGHTS

• The Panthers started doubles action with an 8-3 triumph by the #2 tandem of Claudia Miller and Gena Huang.
• In the third spot, Lulu Wu and Nathalie van der Reis teamed up for an 8-5 win, before Sahana Raman and Amy Delman gave Middlebury a 3-0 lead with an 8-6 triumph at #1.
• Wu dropped just two games to claim a 6-0, 6-2 victory in the third spot during singles play.
• Kavina Amin clinched the match in the sixth slot (6-1, 6-3), before Miller at #2 (6-4, 6-2) and Raman in the top spot (7-6 (1), 6-4) made it 7-0 with straight-set wins. 
• The Beavers spoiled the shutout, grabbing a victory in the fourth spot and a three-set decision at #5 for the final 7-2 score.

NOTES

• Wu earned her sixth-straight win in singles action on Wednesday, while Amin picked up her fifth in a row.
• The programs played for just the second time with Middlebury winning both matchups, including a 5-4 decision last spring.

The Panthers wrap up their spring trip on Friday with a matchup against top-ranked Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. The first serve against the Athenas is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. EST.
