- The Panthers nearly tied the contest with just over a minute left in the stanza, but Paddy Bogart's one-timer from between the circles was thwarted by Bobak's blocker.
- Trinity looked to increase its lead 2:37 into the second stanza, but a point-blank shot by Mozian was saved by Horoho pushing across his crease.
- Middlebury knotted the contest just nine seconds into a power-play opportunity midway through the stanza. Pastor muscled a cross-crease pass to the right pipe that found Dante Palombo who lifted the puck into the net at 10:17 to tie the game at 1-1.
- The Bantams turned up the pressure over the latter stages of the period with the best chance coming on a 2-on-2 opportunity with 14.4 seconds left. Kyle Tomaso tried to squeeze the puck in as he skated by the net, but Horoho smothered the bid with his glove.
- The hosts produced a quality chance 3:04 into the third period following a nifty stretch pass from John Burdett that found a streaking Bogart who deked toward the middle of the ice, but his rising shot was saved by Bobak.
