Panthers Compete at Middlebury’s New England Small College Invite

Fawcett recorded a personal best time in the mile and was on the runner-up DMR squad.
The Panther women's track and field team hosted the Middlebury's New England Small College Invite at The TRACK at New Balance.

HIGHLIGHTS
  • In her indoor track collegiate debut, Audrey MacLean picked up where she left off from the cross country season. The Panther claimed the 3,000m with a quick time of 10:00.15.
  • Four Panthers placed in the top-10 spots in the mile, with Victoria Fawcett leading the way with a personal-record time of 5:14.98 to finish in fifth.
  • Advancing to the finals of the 60 hurdles was Emma Mills, finishing in fifth place with a clocking of 9.52.
  • A trio of Panthers qualified for the finals of the 60 dash with Katie Bruno (8.06), Melissa White (8.09) and Macy Daggitt (8.16) placing sixth, seventh and eighth, respectively.
  • Four sprinters finished in the top-10 spots in the 400, with Anna Krouse pacing the group with a fourth-place finish (59.21).
  • In the weight throw, Lilly Wurtz earned third place with a toss of 14.46m, while Jaxon Palmer was two spots back (13.71). 
  • Daggitt placed ninth in the long jump, hitting the sand at a mark of 5.08m. 
  • In the 5,000-meter run, Sophie Nardelli placed eighth with a time of 18:12.71, erasing her previous personal best by nearly 54 seconds. 
  • Breaking the 2:20 barrier in the 800 for the first time in her career was Lily Bulczynski who finished as the runner-up with a time of 2:19.12.
  • Isabelle Gay earned 10th place in the triple jump with a leap of 10.41m. 
  • In a field of 60 sprinters, White (25.92) and Michelle Louie (26.00) placed sixth and seventh, respectively, in the 200m. 
  • Mary Scott Robinson finished in third place in the shot put with a heave of 11.20m. Julia Tulimieri also secured a spot in the top 10, recording a mark of 9.91m (seventh). 
  • The distance medley relay (DMR) squad of Fawcett, Bulczynski, Caroline VanSchaick and Tatum Peskin combined for a time of 12:21.91 to finish as the runner-up.
  • Closing out the meet was the 4x400 relay (Louie, Anna Mazur, Mary Elliot and Krouse), finishing second overall with a clocking of 4:01.88. 
NOTES
  • White is Middlebury's first sprinter to go sub-26 seconds in the 200 this season.
The Panthers travel to The Armory on Friday for the New York University DIII Invitational.
