Three Personal-Bests Highlight Williams Last Chance Meet

Tatum Peskin stopped the clock at 11:40.54 in the 3,000m steeplechase.
Members of the Middlebury women's track and field team took part in the Williams Last Chance Qualifying meet on Wednesday afternoon. Three Panthers earned personal bests during the meet.

HIGHLIGHTS
  • Tatum Peskin took home the top spot in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, stopping the clock in 11:40.54.
  • Cady Barns claimed second place in the 200, with a time of 25.59 which was a personal best. The senior also finished fourth in the long jump with a leap of 5.49m.
  • Jaxon Palmer and Madeline Sauders each set personal record markers during today's meet. In the javelin, Palmer finished with a toss of 40.40m. Sauders earned second place in the discus with a distance of 40.05m, nearly eight meters further than third place.
  • Anna Krouse and Ciara Dale were each the only participants in their respective events. In the 400, Krouse crossed the finish line in 1:01.17, while Dale finished with a clocking of 1:03.31 in the 400 hurdles.
At the end of this week, the top-22 Division III performers in each event will be invited to participate at the NCAA Championships in Rochester, New York, hosted by St. John Fisher. The field will be announced on May 21.
