The sixth-ranked Middlebury women's tennis swept all six singles matches during an 8-1 victory at 17th-ranked Bowdoin. Sunday's match was the final road contest of the regular season for the Panthers.
 
HIGHLIGHTS

• The Polar Bears secured their lone point of the day with a narrow 8-7 (1) victory at #2 doubles.
• The Middlebury pair of Sami Remis and Nina Farhat raced out to a 4-1 lead in the second spot. Their opponents battled all the way back to pull within one (6-5), but the Panther duo claimed the final two games for the 8-5 victory to level the match at a point apiece.
• The top doubles flight featured six ties over the first 12 games. With the match even at 6-6, the tandem of Amy Delman and Sahana Raman won games 13 and 14 for the final 8-6 score and a 2-1 edge headed to singles.
• The Panthers posted straight-set victories in each of the six singles flights.
• Raman started the run with a 6-1, 6-2 win in the top spot, while Gena Huang made it  4-1 by tallies of 6-4, 6-2 at #5.
• Brinlea La Barge clinched the match with a narrow 6-2, 7-5 triumph at the bottom of the lineup.
• Claudia Miller (6-4, 6-4) at #4, Delman (6-3, 6-4) in the second slot and Lulu Wu (6-4, 7-5) at #3 were all victorious for the final 8-1 decision.

NOTES

• Miller picked up her ninth-straight win this season, while La Barge claimed her fifth victory in a row.
• Middlebury and Bowdoin met for the 45th time. The Panthers hold a 27-18 edge and have won the last seven contests between the programs. 

 The Panthers return to action on Saturday when they host seventh-ranked Amherst beginning at 10:00 a.m.
