Kate Kenny ran to a third-place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
A trio of distance runners from the Middlebury women's outdoor track and field team participated in the Mangrum Invitational on Friday and posted top-10 finishes. The meet featured athletes from all three NCAA divisions, the NAIA as well as community colleges and was hosted by California State University San Marcos.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Kate Kenny and Audrey Grimes both competed in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. Kenny finished in third place with a time of 10:58.59.
- Grimes was right on Kenny's heels in fourth place, crossing the line with a clocking of 11:00.69.
- Keegan McAuliffe ran the longest event of the meet, stopping the clock with a ninth-place time of 40:44.30 in the 10,000m.
NOTES
- McAuliffe's effort in the 10,000m was the first of her collegiate career.
The rest of the Panthers compete at the PLNU Collegiate Open on Saturday.
