Catherine Harrison ’19 was honored by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) as a 2023 Thirty Under 30 recipient.
Middlebury assistant women's basketball coach Catherine Harrison '19 was honored by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) as a 2023 Thirty Under 30 recipient.

The WBCA Thirty Under 30 program recognizes 30 up-and-coming women's basketball coaches, aged 30 or younger, who have made a significant impact at all levels of the game. Outside of their contributions on the court, the 30 honorees also exemplified their involvement in community service, mentorship and impact on others, professional manner, and attitude and professional association involvement.

Harrison has helped coach the team to 27 wins over her two years as an assistant. She helped coach the2022 NESCAC Rookie of the Year and two All-NESCAC selections. Harrison has helped guide the Panthers to a pair of NESCAC Tournament appearances, including a semifinal appearance this year. As a student-athlete at Middlebury, Harrison was a two-time captain, and sprinkled her name throughout the record books.

"Cat deserves this recognition for who she is and what she has given to our program," said Middlebury head coach KJ Krasco. "She has the unique ability to form meaningful bonds with all members of our program, while authentically being true to herself. She is positive, trustworthy, and competitive. All attributes that myself and our players gravitate towards."

Harrison and the other 29 honorees will be recognized at the WBCA Convention from March 30th-April 2nd in Dallas, Texas.
