Mustafaj earns All-Region praise for the second year in a row.
For the second-consecutive year, Middlebury women's basketball player
Alexa Mustafaj has earned D3hoops.com Region 1 praise. The Panther was named to the first team, having been tabbed to the third team in her rookie campaign.

MUSTAFAJ'SÂ HIGHLIGHTS
- Mustafaj was named to the All-NESCAC squad for the second-straight year, landing a spot on the first team after being on the second team a season ago.Â
- A sociology major, Mustafaj was named to the 2023 College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-District Team and the NESCAC All-Academic squad.Â
- The sophomore became the 11th player in program history to eclipse the 1,000-career point plateau, finishing the season with 1,039 points to sit in ninth place in Middlebury's record book.
- The guard finished the season in the top-20 spots nationally in numerous statistical categories, including 10th in points (563), 11th in points per game (21.7), 13th in field goals made (202) and 18th in free throws made (124).Â
- Her 563 points this winter placed her third in the program single-season record books, while her 21.7 points per contest paced the NESCAC.
- Mustafaj scored a career-high 38 points during a victory in mid-January against Bowdoin, including a program single-game record 16-16 at the free-throw line.Â
- The Panther scored 20 or more points in 17 games this season and surpassed that total in 32 of 49 career contests.Â
- She has also recorded double-figure point totals in 47 of 49 career games.
- Mustafaj pulled down 4.2 rebounds per game, handed out 50 assists and had 42 steals in 26 contests this winter.Â
The Panther will be placed on the ballot for All-American consideration, with the announcement coming in the next several weeks.
