Women’s Track and Field Takes Part in Plattsburgh State Wednesday Meet

Cady Barns broke her own triple jump record for the second time this year.
Cady Barns broke her own triple jump record for the second time this year as the Middlebury women's track and field team won five events at the Plattsburgh State Wednesday Field and Track Meet.

HIGHLIGHTS
  • Barns highlighted the event with a first place finish in the triple jump, breaking her own school record with a jump of 11.66m.
  • Jaxon Palmer took home first place in the weight throw with a toss of 13.13 meters.
  • The Panthers claimed the top three spots in the long jump. Barns won the event with a score of 5.56m. Macy Daggitt was second at 5.45m, while Lucy Pollitt rounded out the top three with a jump of 5.36m.
  • Pollitt was first to cross the finish line in the 55m dash with a time of 7.54.
  • Cate Kreutzen placed first in the 600m, crossing the finish line in 1:49.17.
NOTES
  • Middlebury continues its busy week, competing in a pair of meets this weekend. The Panthers will compete in the David Hemery Valentine Invitational at Boston University and will host the Middlebury Field and Track Meet.
