The Middlebury softball team was honored by Easton and the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) with Division III's second-highest grade point average (GPA) during the 2021-22 academic year.  As a team, Middlebury recorded a 3.748 cumulative GPA, second only to Macalester (3.8507).

Additionally, 17 Panthers earned Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete laurels for their individual work from the organization. To qualify for the individual accolade, a player must maintain a GPA of 3.50 or higher through the spring season. Earning the recognition for the Panthers were Jewel Ashbrook, Sophie Bolinger, Megan Fox, Lizzie Hannafey, Samantha Hausman, Ciara Hoover and Abigail Jankowski. Also collecting academic accolades were Emily Lieb, Kate Likhite, Marina Lyon, Sophia Marlino, Jen McGann, Tori Papaleo, Noelle Ruschil, Abby Santis, Nina Schroeder and Cece Ziegler.
