The Middlebury softball team has earned the second seed in the NESCAC West Division and will travel to Massachusetts next weekend in search of its second conference crown. Tufts earned the No. 1 seed in the NESCAC East Division and will host the 2022 NESCAC Softball Championship set for May 6-8, in Medford, Massachusetts. The top four seeds from each division will play an 8-team, single-elimination tournament for the first time since 2019 and the current format has been used since the 2018 campaign. The NESCAC Champion will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship.
