The eighth-ranked Middlebury women's tennis team (6-3) stormed back from a three-point deficit to double up #20 Redlands 6-3 on Saturday in California. The Panthers return to NESCAC play on April 2, heading to fifth-ranked Wesleyan for a 2:00 p.m. start.
The Bulldogs (6-4) staked claim to a 3-0 lead, taking all three matches in doubles action.
Middlebury began its comeback in singles, taking the first point from the top of the lineup, as
Sahana Raman won 6-0, 6-2.
Claudia Miller collected a 6-1, 6-4 triumph at #4. while
Kavina Amin tied the match from the fifth position by 6-1, 6-1 scores.
Caitlin Neal gave the Panthers their first lead of the match at 4-3 with a 6-1, 6-1 victory at #6, while
Amy Delman won 6-2, 6-1 in the second position to clinch the match.
Gena Huang completed the sweep in singles play by the scores of 7-5, 6-1 in the third slot.
