The 12th-ranked Middlebury men's soccer team opened up the second half with four goals in a span of 5:37 easing past Trinity by a score of 6-0 on Senior Day. The victory moved the Panthers to 9-1-2 overall, and atop the NESCAC standings.

HIGHLIGHTS
  • In the 15th minute, Jordan Saint-Louis controlled a long ball and dribbled through two Trinity defenders and into the six-yard box. However, goalkeeper Bernardo Simones slid in and claimed the ball.
  • Trinity's best chance of the first half came at the 43:04 mark, when Owen McDermott took a shot from just inside the 18 that whistled just wide of Panther goalie Ryan Grady's right post.
  • Middlebury opened the scoring only 1:26 into the second half. Kyle Nilsson collected a pass on the right side of the box and cut inside, blasting a right-footed effort on target. Simones made the save, but Alem Hadzic fired the rebound into the net for a 1-0 edge.
  • Just 56 seconds later, Andrew Juarez made the score 2-0. Juarez received a loose ball, and unleashed a booming effort past Simoes and into the top-left corner from 25 yards away.
  • The Panthers tacked on another at the 49:52 mark. Nilsson received a pass on the left side of the box, firing a pass into Hadzic who combined beautifully with the onrushing Juarez. Juarez bent a right-footed effort into the far-right corner.
  • At the 52:02 mark, Middlebury made the score 4-0 when Eujin Chae whipped in a corner kick, and Luke Madden rose highest, heading the ball into the bottom-right corner.
  • Hadzic scored his second of the match at the 63:47 mark. Liam Sloan laid it off to Hadzic, who volleyed the ball past Simoes into the far-right corner, making it 5-0.
  • Grady's only save of the day came in the 65th minute. Michael Traynor struck a long-ranged shot at goal, but it was directly at Grady who made the stop.
  • The Panthers scored their sixth and final goal with 12 minutes remaining, as Sloan drove a corner kick into the box and Brendan Barry headed the ball past the keeper for the final 6-0 victory.
