#14 Men's Soccer Wins At Framingham

The 14th-ranked Middlebury men's soccer team improved to 5-0 on the season with a 2-0 road win at Framingham State (1-8) on Tuesday evening. The Panthers return to NESCAC play on Saturday with a 1:30 p.m. kickoff at Hamilton.

Middlebury took a 1-0 lead 11:30 into the game when Brandon Reid carried the ball down the left side near the goal line before centering a pass. Jordan Saint-Louis was there to knock it home for his team-leading fourth goal of the season.

The guests doubled the lead at the 65:15 mark when Nathan Pilson scored his second of the year. Saint-Louis sent a hard cross from the left side goal-line area, that Pilson quickly volleyed into the back of the net.

Middlebury kept up the pressure down the stretch, coming away with the 2-0 win. The Panthers held a 22-3 shots advantage in the game, as Ryan Grady made a pair of saves to earn his 12th career shutout. Joseph Sturzo made nine stops in net for the Rams.

Middlebury has now outscored its opponents 13-1 and have not allowed a goal in 358:51 of game action.
