Cady Barns capped off the spring season by earning All-American honors in the triple jump on Saturday at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the Irwin Belk Track Complex in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Barns, who jumped in wet conditions and went through a long weather delay during the opening round of the event, finished second in flight one with a distance of 11.57 meters. None of her attempts in the finals topped her previous mark, so she finished eighth, earning All-American status and a trip to the awards podium.

Isabel Maletich from the University of Chicago won the event with a top distance of 12.38 meters.
