Nicole Johnson and
Cassie Kearney both took to the track on Friday at the 2021 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the Irwin Belk Track Complex in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Competing in the 800 meters, Johnson finished sixth in her heat and 10th overall with a time of 2:13.30. Kearney also placed sixth in her respective heat and was 12th overall in 2:14.24. Neither runner qualified for Saturday's finals.

SUNY Geneseo's Emily Pomainville had the best time among the racers, finishing in 2:10.18.

The championship event concludes on Saturday, with
Cady Barns participating in the triple jump, which begins at 2:00 p.m.
