The Middlebury women's tennis team (4-2) celebrated Senior Day with a 5-4 victory over visiting Williams on Sunday. The Panthers honored
Emily Bian and
Ann Martin Skelly prior to the start of the match. Both teams are back in action on Saturday when the Ephs host Middlebury at 1:00 p.m.

Due to an insufficient number of players, Williams had to default at #3 doubles and #6 singles, giving the Panthers a 2-0 cushion to start the day.

On court one, the Ephs recorded their first point with an 8-5 victory against Bian and Skelly. The Panther tandem of
Sami Remis and
Amy Delman were victorious 8-6 in the second slot to make it 3-1 heading into singles play.

The Ephs recorded the first singles point at #3 (6-0, 6-1).
Kavina Amin followed with a quick win (6-0, 6-3) in the fifth slot, giving Middlebury a 4-2 advantage with her third triumph of the spring. Williams cut the deficit to 4-3 with a win on court one, before Panther
Gena Huang clinched the match (6-4, 6-2) at #2. The win was Huang's fourth-straight, as she improves to 5-1 this season. The Ephs recorded the final point of the day in a battle on court four.
Sami Remis won the first set 6-4, but Julia Pham rallied for a 6-3 victory in the second set. In the tiebreaker, it was Pham who prevailed (10-4) to make it a 5-4 final.
