The Middlebury women's tennis team (1-1, 1-1) suffered a 7-2 setback at Wesleyan (3-0, 3-0) on Saturday. The Panthers are back in action on Sunday when they host Tufts at 2:00 p.m. in their home opener.

The Cardinals grabbed all three points in doubles play. Wesleyan won 8-1 at #3, followed by an 8-2 victory in the first spot and an 8-4 triumph in the second slot.

Amy Delman got the Panthers on the board, allowing just three points as she cruised to a 6-0, 6-3 win at #1. Wesleyan won three-straight matches at #6, #2 and #5 to seal the victory. The Panthers added their final point in a close match in the fourth slot.
Sami Remis dropped the first set, before battling back for her second-consecutive singles win (5-7, 6-3, 13-11).
