The Middlebury women’s basketball team opens up its 2021-22 campaign on Saturday-Sunday, November 13-14 when it hosts a tip-off tournament. The Panthers resume competition after no contests last winter due to the coronavirus pandemic. Middlebury finished the 2019-20 season with an even 12-12 mark.

Head Coach K.J. Krasco has led the team to the postseason in five of six seasons, including an NCAA bid in 2018-19.

The Panthers lost their top-three scorers to graduation, but welcome back a core group with quality game experience. Reagan McDonald is the team’s top returner in points (7.8 ppg), assists (1.8 apg) and steals (.96 spg), after starting 17 contests. Gianna Palli started the first six games two years ago, before suffering an injury. She was averaging 8.2 ppg and 4.7 rpg when her season ended. Alyna Baharozian earned six starts, averaging 7.6 ppg, 4.0 rpg and 1.5 apg. Senior captain Michaela Sullivan (4.5 ppg) is also a key returner to the Panther squad.
