Men's Swimming and Diving

One Day Remains at NESCAC Swimming & Diving Championship

The Panther men's swimming and diving squad is in eighth place with one day remaining at the 2020 NESCAC Men's Swimming & Diving Championships hosted by Williams. The Ephs lead with 1,432.5 points, followed by Tufts (1,254.5) and Amherst (963.5). Middlebury boasts 421 points heading into the final day, which begins at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday.

The 200-medley relay team comprised of Ben Merz, Bryan Chang, Will Pannos and Corey Jalbert placed eighth overall with a time of 1:33.90. Finishing in ninth place was Pannos, who accomplished the feat in the 100 butterfly with a time of 50.38.

The Panthers performed well in the 1,000-free event with four racers in the top-20. Alec Wilson led the pack in eighth (9:45.75), followed by Fran Curran in 13th (9:58.82), Aska Matsuda in 18th (10:09.22) and Ian Johnston in 19th (10:10.68).
