Four Panthers Lauded With CSC Academic All-District Laurels

Dou, McNamara, Shen and White each earned recognition.

Four members of the Middlebury men's swimming and diving team have been named College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District selections. Andrew Dou, Luke McNamara, Paul Shen and Owen White each earned the honor from the organization.

HONOREE HIGHLIGHTS

  • Dou
    • Dou, a double major in economics and mathematics, tallies the honor for the first time.
    • The senior helped reset the school record in the 400-yard medley relay at the NESCAC Championships, swimming the third leg of the quartet's program-best time of 3:20.08.
    • Dou won three individual events in the 50 freestyle against Amherst and Springfield, as well as the 100 butterfly at the Pride.
    • The Panther is a college scholar and three-time NESCAC All-Academic selection.
  • McNamara
    • Securing the accolade for the second time is McNamara.
    • The economics major swam the opening split of the squad's record-breaking performance in the 400 medley relay at the league invite.
    • McNamara secured four individual event victories over the backstroke and butterfly disciplines.
    • The senior has been named to the NESCAC All-Academic squad in each of the last three campaigns and served as one of the Panther captains this season.
  • Shen
    • A physics and mathematics double major, Shen earns his second CSC Academic All-District honor.
    • The senior broke the school record in the 50 breaststroke at the 2026 conference meet, touching the wall at 25.42 seconds.
    • Shen won five individual breaststroke events during the campaign.
    • He is a two-time all-academic honoree and spent the fall semester conducting physics research at Harvard University.
  • White
    • White earned his initial all-district laurel and is studying both biochemistry and spanish.
    • The Panther became the second athlete in program history to be named the NESCAC Career High-Point Diver after advancing to the 1-meter and 3-meter finals at the conference invite.
    • White swept both disciplines against Bates and Colby.
    • The senior served as captain this season and has been on the NESCAC All-Academic squad in each of the last three campaigns.

The CSC Academic All-America squad will be announced on Wednesday, April 29.
