The 2015 Middlebury field hockey team won the program's second NCAA Championship and finished the season with a 20-2 mark, the school record for wins at the time. The team's only two losses that year came at the hands of Bowdoin during the regular season and in th NESCAC Championship game. The Panthers avenged those setbacks with a 1-0 win over the Polar Bears in the national title game in Virginia. Middlebury's 10 shutout victories that season are currently second-most in school history.
In the championship game, first-year player Grace Jennings scored the game's only goal in the 25th minute, as the Panthers held on for the victory. Sophomore Annie Leonard (24-7-55), junior Pam Schulman (19-9-47) and Jennings (7-15-29) paced the team in scoring in 2015. Junior Emily Miller boasted a 0.64 goals against average with eight solo shutouts and a 19-2 mark. Schulman, senior Bridget Instrum and junior Lauren Berestecky all earned All-American that season.
Leonard ended her career with the second-most goals (74) and points (172) in Middlebury history, while Jennings is second in assists with 46. Miller is third on the program list with a 1.09 career GAA, while ranking third with 15 shutouts.
