The Middlebury women's golf team took home the title at the George Phinney Golf Classic, winning by six strokes over second-place Amherst (640). The Panthers shot a 312 on Saturday and came in with a 322 on Sunday for a two-round total of 634. Action took place at the par-71 Ralph Myhre Golf Course on the Middlebury campus. Middlebury returns to action next weekend at the NESCAC Qualifier/Williams Fall Invitational.

Chloe Levins took home medalist honors for the third time in four years, winning the title in a playoff. Levins shot a 79 today to finish with a 153, tying her with Morgan Yurosek of Amherst. The duo entered a playoff and both parred #1. On the second hole (#18), Levins earned a par to take the title, while Yurosek bogeyed.

Placing third overall was Katie Murphy with a 155 (75-80), while Blake Yaccino tied for 13th place with a 161 (78-83). Kayla Li was next for the Panthers, coming in with a 166 (86-80), while Anna Zumwinkle rounded out the squad with a 170 (85-85).

Also competing for the Panthers was Elizabeth Kenter, who finished 20th with a 165 (81-84), while Maddy Cordeiro came in with a 182 (93-89). Evey Kriter (97-97-194) and Samantha Thomas (93) also played for Middlebury.
