The Middlebury men's tennis team continued its fall season when it competed at the Wesleyan Invitational. Matches were contested outdoors at the John Wood Memorial Tennis Courts. The team concludes the fall portion of its season on October 26-27 when it competes at the Bryant Fall Invitational.

In the 'A' singles flight, Middlebury's Alex Vanezis advanced to Sunday's final. He defeated Bowdoin's Evan Fortier in three sets (1-6, 7-6(4), 10-3), before advancing to the semifinals when Wesleyan's Noah Lilienthal won the first set 6-3, but was forced to retire. Vanezis bested teammate Robby Ward by 6-3, 6-2 scores in the semifinals, but lost in the final to Rishabh Sharda of Tufts in three sets (3-6, 6-2, 10-3).

Also picking up two wins in the bracket was Ward, who bested Anupreeth Coramutla from Brandeis 6-2, 7-6 (5) in the first round. Ward outlasted No. 2 seed Sean Wei from Amherst (6-3, 2-6, 11-9) before falling to Vanezis in the semifinals.

During 'B' singles action, Andre Xiao had a bye in the first round, followed by a 6-1, 4-6, 11-9 victory over Amherst's Willie Turchetta in the quarterfinals. He was edged in the semifinals in three sets by Bowdoin's Justin Wang (6-7 (5), 6-3, 10-6).

The 'C' singles draw had David Vilys pick up a 6-3, 6-3 opening-round victory against Wesleyan's Brian Lee, while Andrew Mueller won a match in the 'D' flight by scores of 2-6, 6-4, 10-6 over Tufts' Jacob Scanlon.

The 'B' doubles flight saw the Middlebury team of Vilys and Zach Hilty win their opening-round match by an 8-3 score over the Tufts tandem of Ben Biswas and Dylan Glickman.
