The Middlebury Invitational has come to an end with the host school earning solid results, including a champion the B singles bracket on Sunday. Matches were contested outdoors at the Proctor Tennis Courts and indoors at the Nelson Recreation Center on the Middlebury campus. The team will return to action Friday, September 28 through Sunday, September 30 when it hosts the ITA Regional Championships.

In the 'B' singles flight, Middlebury's Stanley Morris earned the bracket's title. On Saturday, second-seeded Morris knocked off Tufts' Zach Shaff and Skidmore's Jack McClaren in three sets. In Sunday's play, Morris edged teammate Adam Guo in three sets before picking up the title with a 6-4, 6-2 triumph over Brandeis' Anupreeth Coramutla in the final.

Also taking part in the 'B' flight was Guo, who tallied wins over Max Schuermann of Colby and Jeff Chen from Brandeis before falling to Morris in the semifinal.

The 'C' flight saw Weston Brach tally straight-set victories against Bates' Alex Kennedy and Owen Bartok from Tufts before losing in the semifinals.

In the 'D' flight, Zach Hilty cruised in his first collegiate match over Bates' Owen Greenwood, followed by a three-set victory against top-seeded Yudai Teruyama in the quarterfinals before losing in three sets during the semifinals.

The Middlebury pair comprised of Noah Farrell and Martin moved to the quarterfinals of the 'A' doubles bracket with an 8-4 victory over Skidmore's Travis Leaf and Suraj Mahtani. The Panther duo posted an 8-2 triumph against Tyler Ng and Jeff Chen before losing in the semifinals.

The 'B' doubles flight saw the Middlebury team of Cole Sutton and Thorne Gregory win their opening-round match against Bates' Dylan Davis and Alex Jacobs before losing in the quarterfinals.
