Middlebury advanced to the NCAA Men's Tennis Regional Final with a 5-0 victory over Baruch in a match played on the Proctor Tennis Courts at Middlebury College. The top-ranked Panthers (19-3) will play Skidmore in the final on Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m., while the Bearcats finish their season at 12-3.

Middlebury jumped out to a 3-0 advantage at the conclusion of doubles. The Panther duo of Timo van der Geest and Peter Martin posted an 8-0 victory at No. 3 over Jaime Zurro and Max Navarro. A few minutes later, Middlebury doubled its lead when Lubomir Cuba and William de Quant tallied an 8-1 victory over Joaquin Azcue and Marco Gabbato in the top flight. The No. 2 duo of Hamid Derbani and Kyle Schlanger completed the sweep with an 8-1 triumph over Hugo Castalan and Leonard Margolis.

In singles matches, the Panthers were victorious in the top-two spots to seal the match. Atop the lineup, de Quant defeated Azcue (6-0, 6-0), while Derbani clinched the match over Castalan (6-1, 6-0).

The remaining four matches went unfinished with Middlebury winning the first set on each court. Schlanger was up 6-1 and 3-0 at No. 3 over Zurro, while van der Geest claimed the opening set 6-1 over Gobbato in the fourth slot. At No. 5, Allen Jackson was ahead by scores of 6-1 and 1-0 against David Alabo, while Alex Vanezis led 6-0 and 3-0 versus Navarro.
