Third-ranked Adrian (7-2-1) scored 4:05 into overtime, handing sixth-ranked Middlebury a 3-2 loss in the consolation game of the UNO Classic hosted by Plattsburgh. The Panthers (2-2-0) return to action on Friday night when they host Connecticut College at 7:00 p.m.

Jessica Young put Middlebury on top with 3:19 remaining in the first period. After winning a faceoff to Anna Zumwinkle at the left point, Young tipped in Zumwinkle's shot for the game's first goal.

Middlebury made it a 2-0 game just 1:07 into the second period with a goal from Katherine Jackson, who knocked home a rebound after a breakaway attempt by Maddie Winslow was denied.

Rose Krasofsky cut the Panther lead in half with a power-play goal at 8:26 of the second period. Tory Harshman knotted things up at 2-2 with just 27 seconds left in the period via a power-play goal.

The score remained tied 2-2 throughout the third period, forcing the game into overtime. Following a Panther penalty in the final two minutes of the extra period, Brooke Schembri scored the game-winner with just 55 seconds remaining on the clock to give Adrian the 3-2 win.

Adrian held a 50-25 shots advantage in the game, going 3-7 on the power play. Anna Goldstein made her first career start for the Panthers, getting a workout with 47 saves on the afternoon. Kate Turner made 25 stops to pick up the win for the Bulldogs.

At the conclusion of the championship, Young earned a spot on the all-tournament team.
