Middlebury recorded its fifth-consecutive victory, earning a 3-1 road triumph over Connecticut College (7-4, 2-1) Friday evening in the Luce Field House. The Panthers (8-3, 3-1) return to action Saturday with a pair of non-conference matches taking place at UMass.-Boston. Middlebury plays Babson at 1:00 p.m. followed by a 3:00 p.m. contest against the host Beacons.

The Camels took the opening set by a 25-16 score, but the Panthers responded with three-straight set victories by tallies of 25-19, 25-20 and 25-21.

Isabel Sessions led the Middlebury offense with 10 kills, while Becca Raffel had a near double-double of nine kills and 13 digs. Sarah Staver added seven kills with just one error on 14 attempts for a .429 hitting percentage, while Alice Roberts chipped in with six kills.

Gigi Alper led the defense with 16 digs, while Hannah Blackburn and Emily Kolodka both added eight. Blackburn dished out a team-best 17 assists and Staver finished the match with six block assists for the visitors. Chellsa Ferdinand added nine assists to go along with a pair of service aces.

Connecticut College was paced by Jenny Kellogg, who had 12 kills and added six digs in the loss. Sam Hunter posted a double-double with 11 kills and 16 digs, adding three service aces and four block assists. Alex McDevitt finished with nine kills and 10 digs for the Camels. Caroline Branigan added 14 digs for the hosts.
