The Middlebury volleyball team earned a four-set NESCAC victory over host Hamilton on Friday evening inside the Margaret Bundy Scott Field House. The Panthers (7-2, 1-1) return to the court Saturday when they take part in the Skidmore Classic against Ramapo at 1:00 p.m. and Sage at 3:00 p.m.

The Continentals (1-7, 0-2) took the opening set by a 25-21 score. Down a set, the Panthers rattled off three-straight set wins by scores of 25-16, 25-20 and 25-15 for the conference victory.

Becca Raffel paced the Middlebury offense which featured four players with double-digit kill totals. Raffel finished with a match-best 17 kills, while Isabel Sessions ended her night adding 14 kills. Eliana Schaefer hit .423 with 11 kills (11-0-26), while Melanie English finished the match with a .500 (10-1-18) hitting percentage.

Hannah Blackburn handed out 40 assists for the visitors to go along with 11 digs and five kills. Charlotte Devine dug up 14 balls and tied teammate Sarah Staver for match-high honors with three service aces. Emily Kolodka also had 11 digs for the Panthers.

As a team, Middlebury hit a season-best .381 at the net with 66 kills against just 10 errors on 147 attempts.

For the Continentals, Jessica Weston had 14 kills, while Courtney Brown had 12 and Erin Donahue added 10. Meghan Wilkinson and Kyndal Burdin split the setting duties with 18 assists apeice, while Jamie Granskie earned a match-high 22 digs.
