The field of 64 singles players has been reduced to four at the 2014 USTA/ITA men's tennis regional hosted by Middlebury College. The 32-team doubles bracket has been pared down to four teams as action concludes on Sunday with semifinals and finals of both brackets.
Middlebury's Jackson Frons came from a set down to earn a spot in Sunday's semifinals with a 6-7, 6-3, 6-2 victory. He was nearly joined by teammate Noah Farrell, who fell 6-2, 6-0 in his quarterfinal contest.
In doubles play, the Panther duo of Ari Smolyar and Courtney Mountifield were elminated in the quarterfinals, 8-5.
