Men's Tennis Falls At Amherst

Ninth-ranked Middlebury dropped its final regular season match of the season, falling 7-2 to #17 Amherst. Extending their dual match win streak to 13 games, the Jeffs (26-7, 8-0) will host next weekend's conference championship on May 3-5. Middlebury falls to 17-3, 5-2 in NESCAC play.

Notching one of two Panther wins on the afternoon, Alex Johnston and Andrew Lebovitz  edged out Chris Dale and Andrew Yaraghi at first doubles, 8-6.

In singles action, Fritz rallied from a 7-5 first set loss to Johnston, taking the final two frames at first singles by scores of 7-5 and 10-4. Mark Kahan and Yaraghi each logged 6-3, 6-3 wins over Brantner Jones and Palmer Campbell at second and third singles, respectively, while Spencer Lunghino recorded a 6-3, 7-6 decision over Ben Fife. Dale rallied past Jackson Frons, 6-4, 2-6, 7-6 (9), in the fifth slot, while Justin Reindel defeated Teddy Fitzgibbons, 6-3, 7-5 at the bottom of the order.
