Volleyball Drops Tight Match At Conn. College

The Middlebury women's volleyball team lost its third straight match, falling 3-1 (23, 25-12, 21, 20) at Connecticut College (9-9, 4-4) on Friday night. Middlebury dominated the second set, but were edged out by just 11 combined points in the other three sets. The Panthers (13-4, 3-4) return to action on Saturday at Tufts.

Megan Jarchow paced the Panthers with 12 kills in the match, while Amy Hart added nine. Lizzy Reed led the team with 12 digs, Hart had 11, while Kathryn Haderlein earned 22 assists.

Chloe Ainley had a match-high 13 kills for the Camels, followed by Caroline Martin with 11. Jamie Balkin and Cailyn Straubel each had 16 digs in the match, with 33 assists from Katlin Cunningham.
