Williams Tops Panther Volleyball Team

Middlebury dropped its second match in as many days, falling at home to Williams 3-0 (12, 21, 18) on Saturday afternoon. The Ephs, ranked #1 in New England, move to 17-2 overall and remain undefeated in the conference at 7-0. The Panthers fall to 13-3, 3-3 in NESCAC play and will return to action next weekend at Conn. College and Tufts.

Williams rolled in the first set, hitting at .481 while the Panthers struggled with a .032 hitting percentage. The Ephs led 10-5 in the second set before Middlebury made a charge, taking a 12-11 lead behind three kills from Amy Hart. Tied at 14-14, Williams scored six of the next seven points to take a 20-15 lead on their way to the win in the second set. The Ephs never trailed in the third set, picking up the 3-0 victory.

Hart led Middlebury with 12 kills, followed by Olivia Kolodka with seven and Megan Jarchow's six. Kathryn Haderlein had 24 assists, Jarchow owned eight digs, while Hart added seven.

Tori Jasuta led the Ephs with 11 kills and a .435 hitting percentage, Emily Doll earned nine kills, while Katherine Lane hit at .667 on her way to eight kills. Ryan Farley dished out 36 assists, while Doll finished with 10 digs.
