Women's Hoops With Road Win In Albany

The Middlebury women's basketball team picked up a 70-60 non-league win at Albany Pharmacy on Wednesday night.  The Panthers (6-13) held a 42-22 advantage on the boards, as the Albany Panthers fell to 11-7. Middlebury returns to NESCAC play on Friday night when they host Bowdoin at 6:00 p.m.

Leading 30-26 at the break, Middlebury scored the first six points of the second half to take a 10-point lead on a hoop from Katie Pett. The Panthers extended the advantage to as many as 14 before settling for the 70-60 victory.

Tracy Borsinger paced the team with 18 points, followed by Maddie Moreau with 12 and Stephany Surrette with 10. Moreau grabbed eight boards with three steals, while Pett picked up six rebounds to go along with her six points.

Alyson Johnson led Albany Pharmacy with a game-high 22 points, while Kelsey Johnson added 14.
