Williams broke open a five-point game in the second half, on its way to an 86-56 win over Middlebury (5-13, 0-6) in Pepin Gym. The #21 Ephs (17-3, 4-2) connected on 12-25 (.480) from three-point range and shot .508 from the floor in the win.

Williams led 11-7 early behind a two and a three from Jill Greenberg. The Panthers battled back, taking a 19-17 lead after a steal and three-pointer by Tracy Borsinger at the 10:58 mark. With the game tied at 22-22, Williams went on a 15-5 run over the game's next five minutes to take a 37-27 advantage on a pair of free throws by Ellen Cook. A three from Williams' Jennie Harding were the final points of the half, leaving the Ephs with a 43-32 lead at the break.

Jill Greenberg scored seven first half points with seven assists for Williams, while Harding had three threes. Borsinger paced the Panthers with seven points.

Trailing 46-32 early in the second half, Middlebury went on a 12-3 run to make it a five-point game on a pair of free throws from Borsinger at the 15:09 mark. Over the next eight minutes, the Ephs outscored the Panthers 25-3 to take a commanding 74-47 lead with 7:09 left to play.

Greenberg earned her 1,000th career point in the game for Williams, finishing the afternoon with 14 points and eight assists. Harding scored a game-high 23 points, shooting 7-9 from three-point range, while Lisa Jaris added 11.

Scarlett Kirk led the Panthers with 12 points and six rebounds, Stephany Surrette scored 11 with six boards, while Maddie Moreau and Borsinger chipped in with nine points apiece.
