Swimmers Fall At Williams

The Middlebury College swimming & diving teams competed at Williams on Saturday, both suffering losses. The men were defeated 175-122, while the women suffered a 206-85 loss. Senior John Dillon (Wellesley, Mass.) had a huge meet for the Panther men, winning four events on the afternoon. Dillon won the 100 (51.14) and 200 fly (1:54.44) event individually, while being a part of the winning 200 medley and 200 free relay teams. His teammate, senior Schuyler Beeman (Guilford, Conn.), was also impressive, earning victories in the 50 free (21.83), 200 free relay and 200 medley relay. Picking up a pair of wins on the afternoon were sophomore Nick Daly (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) in the 100 free (48.82) and 200 free relay, as well as junior Matthew Vukich (Madison, Wis.) in the 100 breaststroke (1:01.39) and the 200 medley relay. Sophomore Kazu Asaga (Chappaqua, N.Y.) was part of the 200 medley team, while junior Jay Li (Las Flores, Calif.) was on the 200 free squad.
