Swimming & Diving In Action At M.I.T.

The Panther swimming and diving teams were in action at the two-day M.I.T. Invitational over the weekend, with five teams competing in a non-scoring meet. Junior Katie Soja (Sudbury, Mass.) earned a win in the 1,000 free (10:50.45), while first-year diver Meagan Collins (Darien, Conn.) finished second in the 1M diving event with 253.90 points. Also earning second place finishes were sophomore Alyssa Ha (Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.) in the 400 IM (4:42.33) and senior Catherine Suppan (Burlington, Vt.) in the 100 breaststroke (1:09.60).

Senior Zach Woods (Monroe, N.Y.) earned a win for the men in the 100 backstroke in 53.16, while rookie Kazu Asaga (Chappaqua, N.Y.) picked up a victory in the 200 fly (1:58.27). Also earning a win for the men was sophomore Jay Li (Las Flores, Calif.) in the 100 free (49.34).
