A three-pointer by Ally Daniels and baskets by Christine Daniels and Kylie Cowens helped Norwich open up a quick 7-2 lead less than four minutes into the contest. Middlebury fought back with an 11-5 spurt to claim its first and only lead of the stanza (13-12) at the 12:44 mark.
An old-fashioned three-point play by Ally Daniels ignited a 7-0 Norwich run that gave the Cadets a 19-13 lead a minute later. NU stretched its lead to as many as 11 points later in the frame before settling for a 38-31 halftime lead.
Norwich began the second half on a 15-8 run to assume its largest lead of the game. That was when Middlebury caught fire and began its game-changing run.
