Women's Basketball Drops Tight One At Swarthmore Tourney

Middlebury dropped a tight 60-57 game to the host school on day two of the Swarthmore Tournament. The Panthers shot just .292 from the floor in the game, but held a 51-42 edge on the boards. Brittany Perfetti led the team in scoring with 16 points on the afternoon.

Middlebury cut the lead to 52-51 with 3:09 remaining in a free throw from Perfetti. Swarthmore answered, but the Panthers closed the gap again, as Perfetti connected with five seconds remaining to make it a 59-57 game. After an immediate foul, Swarthmore made one of two free throws to pick up the 60-57 victory.

Kaitlyn Fallon scored 12 in the game to go along with 13 boards, while Leah Kepping netted 10 and Stephany Surette scored nine with eight rebounds. Fallon earned all-tournament team honors for the Panthers.
