Men's Tennis Competes At Cornell

The Middlebury College men's tennis team opened up its season with a trip to Cornell for an all-division invitational tournament over the weekend. In the 1st singles bracket, sophomore Andrew Peters (Baltimore, Md.) was a 3-6, 6-2, 6-4 winner in the first round and a 6-4, 6-1 winner in the second round before falling in the quarterfinals. Rookie David Farah (Flint, Mich.) won a pair of matches as well, picking up a 7-5, 6-3 win and a 2-6, 6-4, 6-4 victory before being eliminated in the quarters.

In doubles play, senior Conrad Olson (Waterloo, Belgium) and first-year player Derrick Angle (Troy, N.Y.) advanced to the quarters with an 8-4 win in the first round.
