Women's Volleyball Falls at Colby-Sawyer

Middlebury dropped a lengthy five-set match at Colby-Sawyer on Friday night, with set scores of 25-18, 25-22, 22-25, 11-25, and 15-13. With the win, the Chargers improve to 15-8, while Middlebury falls to 7-7.

The Chargers took the first two sets of the match and looked like they would win the match in the third set after starting on an 8-2 run. The Panthers battled back and tied the set at 16-16. From that point, they took control and won the set 25-22. Middlebury won the fourth set, before the fifth set saw the teams go back and forth with multiple lead changes and ties before the Chargers earned the 15-13 win.

Middlebury had three players with double-figure kills, led by Caroline Cordle with 17 kills to go with 11 digs. Jane Handel also recorded a double-double with 14 kills and 13 digs, while Lindsay Patterson had a solid match for the Panthers, registering 12 kills and 21 digs.
