Middlebury Drops Lengthy Match At Skidmore

The Panther women's volleyball team lost a marathon match on the road, as they fell to Skidmore 3-2. After dropping the first two sets 25-16 and 27-25, Middlebury battled back with 27-25 and 25-16 wins to tie the match at two sets apiece. The Thoroughbreds answered in the fifth set as they emerged with a 15-9 win.

Jane Handel had 19 kills in the match, Caroline Cordle earned 11, while Whitney Bean had nine. Natalie Dupre came up with 27 digs defensively, followed by Lindsay Patterson with 17 and Whitney Bean with 12 blocks, including a school-record nine block assists.
