Men's Tennis Sweeps Skidmore & Amherst

The Middlebury College men's tennis team improved to 17-2 on the season as they defeated Skidmore 6-1 on the road before coming home to hand Amherst a 7-0 loss. The Panthers are ranked fourth in the latest national poll.

Middlebury swept the doubles matches at Skidmore before taking five of six in singles play. Seniors Brian Waldron (Rye, N.Y.) and Nate Edmunds (Birmingham, Mich.) won at #1 and #2, sophomore Salih Unsal (Gerrads Crossing, England) was a winner at #3, rookie Conrad Olson (Waterloo, Belgium) won at #4, while senior Matt Rales (Potomac, Md.) won in the #6 slot.

The doubles pairs again swept against Amherst, before the Panthers won all 12 sets in singles play. Waldron, senior Ari Beilin (Hamilton, Mass.) and Edmunds all earned wins, as did Olson and juniors George Mayer (Merion, Pa.) and Alex Scott (Mt. Kisco, N.Y.).
