Middlebury had little trouble over the weekend as they swept a pair of 7-0 matches over Union and Bowdoin in the Nelson Recreational Center.

The Panthers had a line-up change against Union as none of its top six regulars played in singles action. Sophomore Salih Unsal (Gerrads Crossing, England), junior Kevin Bergesen (Beverly, Mass.), senior Jeff Oldenburg (Jacksonville, Fla.), sophomore Filip Marinkovic (Toronto, Ont.), senior Matt Rales (Potomac, Md.) and sophomore Cam Waldman (San Anselmo, Calif.) each won their singles matches in straight sets. Marinkovic/Rales, Oldenburg/Waldman and Unsal along with Evan Beilin all won doubles matches.

The regular lineup returned against Bowdoin, with much the same success. Waldron, Edmunds, Beilin, Olson, Mayer and Scott were all straight set winners. In doubles play, Beilin/Scott, Edmunds/Bergesen and Waldron/Mayer were all winners.
