Volleyball Splits A Pair Of Matches

The Middlebury College women's volleyball team had a busy week as they played three matches in five days. The week began with a 3-2 loss in a lengthy match at Skidmore. The Panthers were led by junior Lexie Fisher (San Francisco, Calif.) with 21 kills and eight blocks, while sophomore Kate Heath (Whitefish Bay, Wis.) added 21 kills as well. Sophomore Olivia Minkhorst (Atlanta, Ga.) had 24 digs in the loss, while senior Lacee Patterson (Aspen, Colo.) earned 54 assists.

The Panthers played their second road game on Friday as they picked up a 3-0 win at Colby-Sawyer. Fisher had 13 kills, K. Heath earned a dozen, while first-year player Kate Lupo (Weston, Conn.) had 10 in the win. Minkhorst had 20 digs in the win, while L. Patterson had 18 along with 38 assists.

Middlebury fell to Tufts 3-0 in a tight match in Pepin Gym on Sunday. Fisher had 12 kills in the win, Minkhorst had 17 digs, while first-year player Reisa Bloch (Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.) had 16.
