Rensselaer Tops Women's Basketball

Middlebury suffered just its second loss of the season as they went down to Rensselaer 64-50 on the road. The Panthers return home to host Colby-Sawyer at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Middlebury trailed by as many as 11 in the first half, taking a 30-23 deficit into the intermission. An 8-1 run at the 17:54 mark of the second half, cut the lead to 36-35. Rensselaer would slowly increase its lead for the remainder of the game, converting 10-10 free throws in the game's final 1:23 to seal the win.

Middlebury was led by Katie Fisher, who scored 12 points on the afternoon. Alanna Young chipped in with eight points and 14 rebounds, while Micaela McVary had nine points and seven boards.
