2/5/05 - Middlebury earned a split on the NESCAC weekend as they fell to Amherst 58-54. The Panthers held a five point first half lead, but trailed by three at the break. The Jeffs held a slim lead for most of the second half until a 7-0 Middlebury run tied the game at 52 with 1:32 left to play.  Amherst hit 4-4 free throws in the final :13 to seal the win.

Elyse Carlson led Middlebury with 19 points, Kate Fisher scored 12, Micaela McVary scored eight with 10 rebounds, while Alanna Young had seven points and 11 boards.
